Patrick is the Visual Effects Technical Director for Double Negative Visual Effects, a well established visual effects company based in London with a recent satellite office opening in Singapore.
Drawing from a vast spectrum of experience in Animation and Visual Effects, Patrick very quickly became an intricate member of the Singapore team. Striving to keep the goals of each client forefront, Patrick exemplifies creativity as he utilizes his wealth of talents to develop projects that surpass the expectations.
In the pursuit of honing his skills to make himself relevant and all-rounded, Patrick is constantly engaged in constructive personal projects in his free time. These range from CG and visual effects projects, where he involves himself in all aspects of the workflow. Personal projects invigorate him, which is why Patrick is always looking for opportunities to create content for unusual use of innovative technology.
Throughout his career Patrick has received several recognition for both his personal interests in music and songwriting as well as for his professional achievements. In 1995 Patrick won 2nd prize in a song writing and singing competition, organized by the national music TV station. In 1998 Patrick was Top of the entire year of graduating students for the final year of studying computer graphics at the polytechnic. He was appointed music director for the production of a personal album in 2006 of an independent Chinese singer and songwriter.
However, Patrick's proudest professional milestone was being selected, along with 7 others, by Double Negative in 2007 out of 70 applicants to work for them in London. Last year in 2011 Patrick was seconded for a 6 month stint in London to help out on the upcoming film, John Carter, at Double Negative London. Most recently Patrick's update on visual effects includes his newest role in Double Negative as Effects Technical Director on another upcoming Hollywood film.
